Puzzles can keep your children busy, while also improving their critical thinking skills. To do this, just find a template online, or you can print out a related picture and make your own puzzle.

Many people think coloring sheets are great for keeping their children occupied, but they don’t realize that it encourages precision and concentration as well; both of which are important.
Valentine’s Pack
If you Google “Valentine’s Day Pre-K Pack”, there will be free templates that you can use and print out. There will be a pack of activities such as rhyming and syllable activities, fine motor activities, phonics, beginning math problems, and other Valentine’s Day themed games.
Alphabet and Number Matching Game
You can either print this out or make it yourself at home. All you need to do is draw a large heart and write letters of the alphabet or numbers inside of the heart. Then, with stickers that have the matching letters and numbers (Or you can write them on cut up pieces of paper), have your child match all the letters.
Cook a Valentine’s Day Treat Together
Not only will this teach your children new recipes, but they have to practice reading the recipe, making the right measurements, and timing the dessert so that it’s properly cooked. At the end, the both of you can enjoy a yummy snack.
